Visiting Les Machines during construction work

From 2024, these major urban projects will disrupt traffic around Les Machines de l’Île and Parc des Chantiers, with the Pont Anne-de-Bretagne bridge closed off to cars. The bridge will remain accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.

To make sure you get around safely, please follow the wooden posts with the blue and white bicycle and pedestrian signs.

The public works will only affect access to the city centre from the north-west and south-west. But there are easy solutions: enter the city using one of the park-and-ride lots and public transport (around a 20-minute ride).

Throughout construction, the opening hours of Les Machines de l’île – in particular the Galerie des Machines – will be subject to change to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors. We ask you to check the calendar on the day of your visit, and thank you for your understanding.

Solutions will be offered throughout construction to make it easier for everyone to get around, like : several public transport lines, Naolib bike-share bicycles and parking spots in park-in-ride lots.

By car or by bike

If you either want to get a bit closer, here are the nearest parking lots:

Download the parking map for people with reduced mobility.

By public transport

From the station: take streetcar line 1 to the “Gare Nord” stop in the direction of “François Mitterrand”, get off at the “Chantiers Navals” stop, then walk 4 minutes.

Except for seeing-eye dogs, all dogs are prohibited from accessing the Terrasses de l’Atelier, the Grand Elephant, the Marine Worlds Carrousel, and Galerie des Machines.
