PLASTER SCULPTURES

Sculptors from the La Machine theatre company will be hard at work in the Rue des Nefs gallery under the former warehouse’s naves. For this 15th edition, instead of using ice, they’re sculpting with plaster!

LA BOÎTE À BALLET BY CIE FESTIBAL

From Sunday 26 to Friday 31 December 2021

In the winter, the Compagnie Festibal dance troupe’s La boîte à ballet (i.e., ballet in a box) awaits in its snow globe… Suddenly, a doll springs to life wearing ballet shoes: it’s a dancer!
A mechanical automaton emerges from its music box and begins its ballet for all to see.

LE PETIT MANÈGE MERRY-GO-ROUND

Tuesday 21 to Friday 31 December 2021

€1.50 per ride – In Les Nefs

This small artisanal carrousel has been built on the theme of marine life, with 12 wooden subjects entirely carved out by hand. It was built in 2000 by Emmanuel Bourgeau, former head of La Machine’s wood workshop on l’île de Nantes.
